Call for nominations: State of Kuwait Ageing Research Prize

The Office for Seniors is seeking nominations for the State of Kuwait Health Promotion Foundation prize: His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Prize for the Promotion of Healthy Ageing 

This prize from the State of Kuwait Health Promotion Foundation recognises outstanding contributions to research, health promotion, policy, or programmes supporting healthy ageing. 

It recognises individuals or organisations who have made an outstanding contribution to improving the health and wellbeing of older people. It is worth up to US $40,000 and celebrates achievements in research, innovation, policy, and community engagement. 

We welcome nominations from across Aotearoa New Zealand for people or organisations that have: 

  • helped shape or deliver national policy or strategy on healthy ageing 
  • advanced research, health promotion, or programmes that improved health outcomes 
  • developed innovative approaches supporting disadvantaged communities 
  • trained or educated the health workforce on healthy ageing 
  • worked with communities to plan or evaluate health initiatives.
